Hengdian Resort Area – Mengquan Valley Luxury Tent Hotel

Nestled in a vast and tranquil green valley, Qigu Luxury Tent Hotel is based on the concept of “returning to nature and enjoying wilderness luxury”. It aims to create an outdoor travel destination that blends pristine natural aesthetics with luxury tents, and to build a more attractive new paradigm of “hotel as cultural tourism destination”.

Following the laws of nature: the symbiosis of ecological aesthetics and architecture

To realize the original intention of “hotel as a cultural and tourism destination”, the design team created a multi-point landscape layout with a central axis and belt based on the valley topography, without changing the original landform. The entire tent camp is connected by ecological corridors and walkways, allowing the buildings to grow and the natural landscape to overlap, reflecting the elegant and luxurious design concept of “light intervention and heavy experience”.

For example, at the hotel’s main entrance, an ecological landscape belt formed by animal sculptures, water features, and vegetation naturally connects the multi-functional center and the reception center.

Targeting the core customer group of family micro-vacations and the diverse natural vacation needs of customers in Hengdian Scenic Area and surrounding cities, the tents were designed with an “inclusive and diverse integration” approach, offering a variety of unit types, including single-family, duplex, family two-bedroom, family three-bedroom, and hillside view tents, totaling more than 80 units.

In terms of spatial layout, the presentation of the landscape and customer needs are scientifically considered, such as the tent houses being equipped with independent courtyards to ensure privacy.

The hillside viewing spots are equipped with stand-alone tent cabins offering panoramic views.

The uniquely crafted, diverse, and rustic spaces reconstruct the harmony between humanity and nature through natural aesthetics, creating a natural living experience that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

Adapting to local conditions: Harmony between natural beauty and quality living

As Hengdian’s first all-season luxury tent resort hotel, the selection of materials fully considers the terrain and climate environment.

The main frame, made of imported pine wood and rust-proof steel, maximizes its service life. Designed for the distinct seasons and abundant rainfall, the inner and outer tents are crafted from a combination of canvas and PVC-coated fabric, ensuring wind and earthquake resistance, moisture and mildew prevention, while retaining the breathability of the fabric and nature, making it an ideal dwelling for exploring the beauty of nature.

Functional Layout: Redefining Nature Vacation

The planning and design team has made many efforts to create a comprehensive and immersive resort ecosystem that integrates accommodation, camping, hot springs, and entertainment.

The hotel series Y300 utilizes its spacious interior to create a diverse and distinctive service matrix: a visitor reception center, restaurants, and more. Large floor-to-ceiling windows allow the mountain scenery to blend seamlessly with the architecture throughout the four seasons, making every seat a prime spot for enjoying the view.

A 30-acre Whale Campsite is planned, allowing visitors to pitch their own tents and enjoy a variety of recreational activities such as outdoor sports and bonfire parties. When tired, visitors can relax at the Mengquan Valley Hot Spring Area, enjoying indoor heated water parks, spa pools, and other therapeutic facilities.
